this is Sheila's mom. I wanted to let you all know of recent events in sheila's life! July 24 she went into the hospital with pain in her left side and contractions. The short version is she had surgery to remove an ovary! She is home on bedrest now ,recovering from the surgery and trying to avoid premature labor. She would appreciate your prayers and I'll try to keep you updated.

Thank you for updating us. Please do keep us posted. Do you know if they incurred medical bills from this surgery? I'd like to ask a few questions if it's okay. So if so, please email me at saraorange1974 (at) yahoo (dot )com.

Will be praying. That sounds intense.

This is Jill, Sheila's American friend in Saltillo. She asked me to comment with her updates. Every day it sounds like she's getting better and she comments that she's having fewer and fewer contractions every day (medicine and bedrest are of course playing a crucial role).

Herme is adorable about taking care of her and being worried about her (with reason, but it's looking like she's on the mend). Katya all sad one night about Sheila not going with them to visit Herme's family on Saturday (I stayed with her). "Mama,vroom--vroom, Tia?" That's Katya for "What do you mean you're not coming with us?"

It sounds like bedrest is getting real tedious, but that's the biggest frustration, which is something to be grateful for. She really appreciates all the phone calls she's received, so if at all possible, keep 'em coming!

Prayers for healing, patience, rest (for all three) are still really needed!
